Dans le programme 863 version 2002 cité dans la note précédente, on trouve un paragraphe intéressant (à côté du robot "anti-violence" :( ):

"Successful development of a human-simulation robot with attributes as follows: height 1.58m, weight 76kg, pace 0.33m, walking speed 1km/h, and with 32 degrees of freedom. This robot can automatically detect objects and adjust its own movements according to specific situations, walk stably anywhere, and display Shadow Boxing based on its own sensory organs. This achievement marked China's epoch-making progress in robot movement control, composition and integration technologies, and has made China the second in the world (following Japan) to have developed human-simulation robots operated by remote control."

Donc la Chine s'est également lancée dans le développement de l'humain virtuel, pour la simulation. Les applications sont multiples, de la conception de véhicule adaptée aux humains (ergonomie), aux applications dites de sécurité (intervention dans un milieu radioactif par exemple et calcul de la dose reçue).
